All BMW EV charging equipment on this page is compatible with NZ-new and ex-European BMW electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles, which use a Type 2 charging plug. If you have a Japanese-import BMW EV, you’ll need Type 1 charging products instead. Check your charge port against the images below before ordering.

For most BMW EV and PHEV owners, the best home BMW EV charging setup is a dedicated 7kW wall charger paired with a Type 2 cable. This will fully charge most BMW PHEVs in 2–3 hours, and charge larger BEV batteries such as the iX or i7 comfortably overnight.
